A shocking discovery has been made in Uganda, where a self-proclaimed traditional healer, Ddamulira Godfrey, was found with 24 human skulls in his shrine. The police have arrested Godfrey and are charging him under the Prevention and Prohibition of Human Sacrifice Act, which carries a life sentence if convicted.
The police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, confirmed that Godfrey’s shrine, located in the suburbs of Kampala, also contained animal remains and skins. The police are still searching the premises for more human remains.
Godfrey claims to be a traditional healer and herbalist, but the Traditional Healers’ Association has distanced itself from him. This is not an isolated incident, as last month, police recovered 17 human skulls from a shrine in Mpigi, about 41km from Kampala.

The discoveries have been linked to human sacrifice for ritual purposes, with some individuals believing that magic charms made from human body parts can bring good luck or curse their enemies. The police are working to combat such practices and ensure that those involved face justice.
This form of shocking discovery is not a new headline in Africa countries.
