A 33-year-old man, Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, has been arrested in Kenya for the suspected serial killing of women . The police reported that the suspect confessed to the murder of 42 women, whose dismembered bodies were found in a Nairobi rubbish dump, Police have so far recovered nine bodies from the site, with autopsies currently underway.
The suspect was tracked down using the mobile phone signal of one of the victims. At the time of his arrest, he was reportedly in the process of luring another victim.
The police investigation found several items in the suspect’s possession, including a machete, gloves, ropes, and several mobile phones and SIM cards. The suspect’s one-room house, located near the crime scene, was also searched, and a pair of industrial rubber gloves and female clothing items were found.
The police are currently investigating the crimes, and the suspect is set to appear in court . A second suspect was also arrested in connection to the crimes.
The discoveries have horrified the nation, with tensions running high at the crime scene over the weekend. The case has also put pressure on the police force, with the police watchdog investigating whether there was any police involvement in the murders.
